Leslie "Les" Stuart Fairclough (October→December 1902 in Prescot district[1] — 17 October 1951) was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s and '30s who at representative level played for Great Britain, England, and Lancashire, and at club level for St. Helens, playing at Centre, Stand-off/Five-eighth, or Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 3 or 4, 6, or 7.
Les Fairclough won caps for England while at St. Helens in 1925 against Wales (2 matches), in 1926 against Wales, and Other Nations, in 1927 against Wales, in 1928 against Wales (2 matches), in 1930 against Other Nations, in 1930 against Other Nations, in 1931 against Wales, and won caps for Great Britain while at St. Helens in 1926-27 against New Zealand, in 1928 against Australia (2 matches), and New Zealand (2 matches), and in 1929-30 against Australia.[2]
